Love means never having to say you’re “Suri”

In my never-ending quest to mock Hollywood liberals for the asses that they are, I bring you Suri Cruise (or Suri Cruise-Holmes or Suri Holmes-Cruise or Suri Holmes, I’m not sure, they’re “modern”).

Suri is the name chosen for their baby.  Tom Cruise’s and Katie Holmes’s baby.  Born out of wedlock.  (They’re modern.)

The name might have been born out of politics, or simply a vitamin-induced coma.  I looked it up and I think a New Zealand newspaper probably did the most concise and accurate job of figuring out its liberal Hollywood liberal meaning:

Many meanings for Suri

Suri, the name chosen by Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes for their newborn daughter, is raising more than its share of interest in Israel.

It means “get out of here” in the local language, Hebrew.

“I really don’t know what they were thinking when they chose this name. It’s a term that denotes expulsion, said an Israeli linguistics professor. “It’s pretty blunt.”

There are plenty of alternative meanings for Suri. It’s also a Nubian tribe, the word for “rose” in Persian, “sun” in Sanskrit and a term for a form of alpaca wool.
