There are times when I hope right to my core that Americans don’t see the poll results from this country of mine.
Free, taxpayer-funded abortion without any limit at all whatsoever is a Canadian “virtue” of some kind, gay marriage is a “basic fundamental human right”, but being allowed by law to pay for your own health care needs and that of your family—is not a human right and must be prohibited. But prohibition doesn’t work against our kids getting high on drugs, so make pot-smoking legal.
These gems of leftist wisdom are some of the basic positions of the liberal-left.
While Canada’s “military” is full of well-meaning men and women who are well-trained, bright, and proud, in the words of John Thompson, the director of the MacKenzie Institute think-tank on security issues, “We could barely handle a major domestic incident like the ice storm today, forget about a terrorist attack.” Yet when asked, Canadians dutifully answer that the Americans, upon whom we now totally rely to protect us and our families, are as much a risk to Canada’s security as TERRORISTS.
A job well done, liberals. Teachers, professors, media, government departments across the land, all of you who are getting government subsidies (that’s everyone except 37 Canadians)—all get a tip of the hat from me today for your brilliance in this massive decades-long undertaking.
“Organized crime”, of all things, was considered the greatest threat to our national security. One wonders if by “organized crime” they meant “the Liberal Party of Canada”. But one quickly vanquishes that thought in place of “the Conservative Party of Canada” as the more likely thought amongst the Canadian obedient-to-the-left set.
Canadians see Bush, bin Laden as national security threats
In second place we have a tie: “U.S. Foreign Policy” and “Terrorism,” with 37 per cent rating it a great risk.
And of course the proof that leftist liberal dumbdom has finally come to fruition in Canada: just behind those oh-so-equally-valid concerns came “Climate Change and Global Warming.”
I suggest more Canadians read books. Stop just reading our liberal-left newspapers. You have no idea that there’s actually another side to all of this. Subscribe to Fox News Channel. Enlighten yourself by getting the other point-of-view, and you might just feel dazzled and amazed, rather than herded, for once.
