Blah blah blah. That’s enough. Please sit down.

imageThat’s what I think to myself everytime I hear a liberal speak.  Not because I don’t want to hear what they have to say—because I’ve heard it 28,000 times already.  I may be thick, but I don’t need things repeated more than, say, 24,852 times by liberals before I get their simplistic points.  And yet they insist….

Apparently even liberal-friendly folks think the same way about liberals sometimes—at least when another big old self-congratulatory awards show and party is at stake. But at least they don’t throw food at them—they reserve that bit of brilliance for conservatives.

Al Franken, whose brain is housed in the same head as Michael Moore’s, is one of the most annoying humans on the face of the earth to listen to or read.  Therefore of course the liberals award him. But it’s not like they like to listen to him either…

TOO-TALKY FRANKEN GETS A SPANKIN’

Al Franken became the guest who wouldn’t leave — at a talk-radio convention held in his honor.

The talk-show host (WLIB/1190 AM) was forced off the stage after his award-acceptance speech became a nearly half-hour rant against TV commentator Bill O’Reilly and the war in Iraq.

“Al, hurry up,” said Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers magazine, the convention sponsor.

“It’s freedom of speech,” replied Franken, referring to the Freedom of Speech Award he’d just been given by the magazine.

“It’s not freedom to kill everybody’s evening,” Harrison shot back.

“I have about two pages left,” Franken said.

“There are people walking out” Harrison noted.

“Everyone who wants to leave can leave,” said Franken, who was addressing hundreds of talk-show hosts and radio execs Friday night at the Embassy Suites hotel in Battery Park City.

“Now, don’t leave!” Harrison urged the audience, then pleaded with Franken, “We honored you; now honor us. Don’t kill our party.”

Some shouted, “Keep going!” and, “Let him finish!” but the “Air America” star cut his speech short.
