I’ve said the media is the enemy. Others said it too. Ann Coulter says it. Therefore it must be false. Thus the media won’t go with that story.
But back to reality. I wasn’t talking just about Newsweek, I was talking about the Canadian media, nearly all of it but particularly the state-run media, which is in fact the enemy. It’s just that nobody (in Canada, anyway) takes my blog seriously enough to acknowledge that. For the record though, I said it [once], [twice], [three times] just in the past week—which is important to point out because I expect to get an award for prescience and uncontrolled ego when our country sobers up.
Canadians are so liberal-left, they think the American media is “right-wing” just because it isn’t state-owned or subsidized, Soviet-style (or Canadian style). They even—and I think they’re serious—proclaim the CTV and Global as “right-wing”, again because they’re not state-owned (even though they are protected and propped-up by the benevolent liberals and
their
our taxpayer cash). I’m honestly unsure as to whether these people are just dumb, they’re really good actors, or they’re so entirely brainwashed they no longer see the truth when it is staring them in the face. Liberals are a tricky bunch that way.
Our columnist Ann Coulter’s latest column is called “Newsweek dissembled, Muslims dismembered!” and is in the Columnist section. She knows who the enemy is.

When ace reporter Michael Isikoff had the scoop of the decade, a thoroughly sourced story about the president of the United States having an affair with an intern and then pressuring her to lie about it under oath, Newsweek decided not to run the story. Matt Drudge scooped Newsweek, followed by The Washington Post.
When Isikoff had a detailed account of Kathleen Willey’s nasty sexual encounter with the president in the Oval Office, backed up with eyewitness and documentary evidence, Newsweek decided not to run it. Again, Matt Drudge got the story.
When Isikoff was the first with detailed reporting on Paula Jones’ accusations against a sitting president, Isikoff’s then-employer The Washington Post—which owns Newsweek—decided not to run it. The American Spectator got the story, followed by the Los Angeles Times.
So apparently it’s possible for Michael Isikoff to have a story that actually is true, but for his editors not to run it.
