With video! Bonus PTBC Quote of the Week Award: Benjamin Netanyahu, winner

In a rarely used PTBC move, our nominating committee (that’s me!) has decided to award the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu our PTBC Quote of the Week Award, in addition to the one offered to Mark Steyn this morning.  Shalom and Shana tova.

“The man who called the Holocaust a lie spoke at this podium. To those who refused to come and to those who left in protest, I commend you. You stood up for moral clarity and you brought honor to your countries. But to those who gave this Holocaust denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere—have you no shame? Have you no decency?”

— Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Speaking at the United Nations yesterday

See the video:  It’s one of the best things ever spoken by anybody at that increasingly horrendous institution, the United Nations.

After spending half the day critically examining, up, down, and sideways, using all manner of guest expert political geniuses to help examine whether or not it was a good idea for Canada to walk out on the fascist Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s lecture to the United Nations, the state-owned left-wing CBC didn’t feature, over and over and over again, this Netanyahu video clip from the U.N..  Even though— or I guess because — it was the quintessential response to their idiocy.  Possibly they’re just ideological pantywaists over there at the CBC, and are afraid to face the truth, and moreover, afraid to present it to Canadians.

I may now have to create a PTBC Pantywaist of the Week Award.
