“What is this premier talking about?” (Question to a Liberal premier, of course)

This week the extremely highly coveted (I wish) and well-known (to me) and much sought-after (in my mind) ProudToBeCanadian.ca Quote of the Week Award goes to Homa Arjomand, Canada’s campaign co-ordinator of the International Campaign Against Sharia Court in Canada (www.nosharia.com).

She teases us a little in her run-up to her award-winning sentence with a preamble:

“What is this premier talking about?”

…asked Arjomand, a transitional support counsellor, regarding McGuinty’s confused meanderings about our country and its values which in his mind now includes not just gay marriage and pot smoking and prostitution, as in the case of all liberals, but also Islamic laws that persecute women.  (Hey did you know that was one of your values?  I didn’t!  But that’s what that Liberal said.  Thanks liberals!)

And then she comes out with the big guns ablazing:

“It’s like he’s an alien, like he’s living on Mars,”

…said Arjomand, who was forced to flee her native Iran by horseback into Turkey after all of the women’s rights activists she worked with in Iran were rounded up, many of them gang raped, tortured and then executed.  Under Sharia law, which she escaped from.

Just to show you she’s got more where that came from, she also added

“This proposal by the Ontario government is complete lunacy,”

…in which she unwittingly references the moon, rather than Mars, but either way, the implication is that Liberal McGuinty is way, way out there in liberal-left field, which of course he is.

The Liberals in Canada have decided that they are going to make Canada (and I use the word “make” advisedly, because they draw-up Liberal laws, Liberal policies, Liberal regulations, and use Liberal public relations to affect its course) a “Liberal Party-voting multicultural mosaic”, no matter what the stupid people (that’s us!) say.  “Canada” and “Canadian ways” be damned.  They hate Canada the way it is.  “Their” Canada, as their campaign slogan goes, is much different than just “Canada”, the way it might naturally be, or the way it was envisaged by John A. MacDonald (he was a Conservative, silly!).

Brought to you by the Government -- the Liberal Party of Canada As evidenced by the Liberal Party sponsorship logo, Canada is one of the few countries on earth whose culture is “Brought to you by the Government of Canada” by which we mean, of course, the Liberal Party of Canada with advice and demands by the extreme left, the socialist NDP.  Other successful examples of how this has worked include the ironically now defunct U.S.S.R., China, North Korea, Cuba and several African countries.

Of course theirs is a completely stupid, backward plan which should be completely reversed in favor of an integrated melting pot.  Canadians might call this a “Canada” policy, in which the citizens are fully-devoted (fully!) Canadian patriots, with just “Canadian” values, which were built on good Judeo-Christian values which we still live by today but for the liberal-left’s efforts to destroy that in favor of their values, which are based on that rock-solid “if it feels good, do it” philosophy, or whatever Canada’s sacred hyphenated-Canadian minorities decide it will be today and tomorrow, as judged by liberal bureaucrats reading results from liberal-friendly polling firms in Quebec and the Gods who work at the state-run media, the sacred CBC division of the Liberal Party.

Oh and vote liberal! (Sorry, don’t know how to say it in Iranian but I’m sure Liberal Party campaign workers do!)

Hat tip to Licia Corbella, Calgary Sun editor and great columnist, for the quotes.
