The liberalvision CTV is reporting that according to remarks made on their TV show this morning, the chief humanitarian fella at the liberals’ U.N., Sir John Holmes (I’m going to go ahead and dub him Sir John “the U.N. Humanitarian Guru” Holmes), says Canada should stay in Afghanistan and keep fighting the good fight.
And he said other things, like Canada is setting an example to the world.

The United Nations’ humanitarian chief says Canada is making a difference on the ground in Afghanistan and should stick with its commitment to the war-torn country.

He told CTV’s Canada AM that the nation is setting an example on the international stage, and shouldn’t abandon its efforts in Afghanistan.
“Canada is playing a very important role both on the security side but also on the development and reconstruction and humanitarian side,” [Sir John] Holmes said.
“So I think it’s very important that Canada is there for the long run. I think it’s very important the international community sticks with Afghanistan for the long run. We’ve seen in the past what happens if you’re in there for a short time and then pull out. The problems just reoccur.”

Liberals, don’t worry: luckily for you, the alleged rapist arrested in Thailand appears to have been raised as, and did work as… a “Christian”. That should get a ton o’ attention from your liberal media division and lift your spirits. Your CBC division is already all over it including Christian-like pictures.
