U.N. has Hamas terrorists on payroll against Israel?

What the heck is this?

surveillance photo of Hamas loading a rocket into a U.N. vehicle

I saw this myself as I watched the surveillance video on the news (this is a still capture), and turned to my wife with a quizzical look on my face.  Palestinian terrorists had just fired rockets into Israeli crowds of innocent civilians, as usual, then they quickly loaded the rocket launcher back into a U.N. vehicle.

The head of the U.N. agency, UNRWA, is Peter Hansen, and he told some Canadian media that he believes there are Hamas members on UNRWA’s payroll, but not to worry—they have to follow UN rules on remaining neutral.

Oh good.  Terrorists are usually very civil people who follow rules.

“Oh I am sure that there are Hamas members on the UNRWA payroll and I don’t see that as a crime. Hamas as a political organization does not mean that every member is a militant and we do not do political vetting and exclude people from one persuasion as against another,” Hansen said.

Again, he said, “We do not do political vetting”.

“We demand of our staff, whatever their political persuasion is, that they behave in accordance with UN standards and norms for neutrality,” he said.

Here’s some parts of Hamas’ little terrorist Covenant or Charter (and make no mistake, Canada, the U.S., and the European Union all declared that Hamas is a full-fledged terrorist group):

“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”

“The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.”

“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.”

“After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying.”
