Toronto Star calls 7-point Conservative lead in polls a"slight” lead

If the Liberals had a seven point lead in the latest poll, it would be described in the pathologically agenda-driven anti-conservative media as a “massive” lead.  It would be analysed and “reported” on by the liberal media “reporters” as “decisive”.  It would be explained that it is now “proven” (much like evolution and man-made global warming) that Canadians—all across the land and even in Ontario—have “definitively” chosen the “Natural Governing Party” currently led by “the Green Guru”, the Liberal Frenchman Stephane Dion, to lead them to orgasmic Godless Utopia.

But this is not the case today.

imageI was tempted to use the TorontoStar.ca’s handy “Report a Typo” link to report the fact that a seven point lead for the Conservatives in the latest Leger poll, even despite the usual decades long massive liberal-left media onslaught of abject mistrust and sometimes overt hatred toward conservative ideals generally and particularly the Conservative Party itself, is anything but a “slight lead” or an “edge”.

Even mathematically it has to be viewed as more than a “slight lead”.  Any scientist—even a foot doctor or a zoologist like the great leftist Profit Dr. David Suzuki—would have to admit this is more than a “slight lead”.  And certainly other scientists—particularly those great political scientist professors that are normally immediately secured to analyse and provide wise quotage regarding such polls and who help explain to Canadians why conservatives manifestly “suck”, would admit that this warrants more than a passing remark in a page-58 news article-ette.

And in light of all the election rumors, and in spite of the especially huge liberal-left media church of liberalism religious crusade against the Conservatives’ realistic enviro plans of late, it’s really rather damn huge.  It’s nearer to double-digit than single.  It’s just plain big.

Even in liberal-luvin Ontario.

Poll gives Tories the edge

MONTREAL – A recent poll suggests the Conservatives have a slight lead over the Liberals.

The Leger Marketing survey gives the Tories 38 per cent support, the Liberals 31 per cent, the NDP 14 per cent and the Bloc Quebecois eight per cent.

In Quebec, the Liberals (32 per cent) and the Bloc (31) are in a battle and are followed by the Conservatives at 24 per cent.

In Ontario, the Conservatives are at 40 per cent, compared with the Liberals’ 35 per cent.

The poll of 1,500 Canadians was conducted Jan. 30-Feb. 4, a period shortly after the Conservatives unveiled ads critical of Liberal Leader Stephane Dion.

Those ads were portrayed by the media as ads that would backfire against the Conservatives.  Good call once again, media.

And here’s your lesson of the day:  If the liberal media warns against something, it means it’s good.
