The CNE’s “family entertainment” taxpayer-funded Bill Clinton liberal politics speech: UNSOLD TIX

Email from Matt today, concerning the Canadian National Exhibition’s big family fun feature, the federally-funded left-wing political indoctrination speech by impeached Democratic Party President Bill Clinton tonight.  (I blogged about it here.)

Matt refers to a couple of articles in the (uber left) Toronto Star, in which they surreptitiously promote ticket sales to the Clinton speech by conjuring up faux “news” articles about ticket sales.  Note that the Toronto Star is one of the “media sponsors” of the CNE.

Subject: “Clinton’s a tough sell for the CNE crowd”

Good Morning Joel!…At least I WAS having a good morning…

Just a great investment for taxpayers, eh?  Even if the common rabble refuse to go, the organizers still think it’s a great fit… A lecherous, impeached ex-President speaking at a family-oriented exhibition.

“Even if we (don’t) break even, I still stand by my choice. It might have got people thinking of the CNE differently,”

That’s the point isn’t it? Getting people to think differently? Getting them to think like you? After all, at the CNE this year there will be thousands of parents being tremendously irresponsible by attempting to have nothing but “fun”, when they should be using that precious bonding time with their children indoctrinating them with liberal philosophy… isn’t that the point when large amounts of people gather? To promote left-wing, socialist agendas??

Love the excuses given…

“The Ex’s marketing campaign was hampered by a short time frame – just two weeks to promote the speech – and an agreement with Clinton that they wouldn’t display his name or image next to the ticket price in advertising, a condition that undercut one of the event’s major selling points.

There’s also a 40 per cent chance of showers this afternoon, which could slow ticket sales further. BMO Field will offer protection from the elements for Clinton, who will be arriving after having attended Senator Ted Kennedy’s morning funeral in Boston. But spectators will be at the mercy of the weather. “

Thanks Matt.  Good email.

I’ve been reading about James Murdock’s blasting of the BBC, this morning (see my blog entry, upcoming).  James is the son of Rupert, who owned News Corp, Fox news, etc.  Fascinating reading. I attached some links.  I’d pay to see James Murdock come here and blast our government/media behemoth. (Not at the CNE of course!.  And I wouldn’t expect the government to pay for the speech.  Or the state-owned, socialism-reliant CBC to broadcast it).
