The opening post started on a note of profound paranoia, and then it just kept getting worse, in this babble from rabble.ca.
It was a post about the CSIS revelation that there are terrorists living among us. From the babbler there was talk of wire tabs and such. Wire tabs are a new form of wire taps I think. Or maybe I’m being paranoid and they’re just a way of joining wires together.

I wonder if Harper is preparing us for more intrusive surveilance and maybe wire tabs. All to draw us more in line with the USA.

Yes, and it’s a wiretap protocol that encompasses all internet, cellular and regular telephone access to the public switched telephone network. The KGB and Stasi could only have dreamed of invading privacy in such a way.
