Stephen Harper is Proud To Be Canadian

(Hat tip to writer Paul Albers)

In an apparent attempt to drive liberals insane, popular Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper walks past posters in a store depicting pride in being a Canadian, and yet maintaining that he’s a conservative.

Liberals believe it is incongruous to be both conservative and Canadian.  A great many liberals have emailed me over the years insisting, sometimes with hatred and vitriol and intolerance the likes of which I can’t even repeat here, that I change the name of this web site.  They’re outraged.  “Proud To Be Canadian”, they insist, should be reserved for a non-conservative site.

Oh and if you like Ann Coulter, George Bush, Americans in general, or Republicans in particular, you may be a red neck.  Or something.  And then you should apparently be ashamed of yourself.  Didjaknow that?  Or as one liberal put it last night in a Canada Day post, “For you to align yourself with the policies of the Bush administration and publish the garbage that Ann Coulter spews makes me wonder just how patriotic you really are.  Canada has voted for a Conservative government not a Republican one.”

Well then.  I picture them saying that to me with their left hand on their hip, and their right hand with a giant index finger extended and wagging at me, while somehow also typing that stern little brainless liberal lecture of intolerance.

I called this site ProudToBeCanadian.  I beat all the liberals to it. They didn’t even think of it.  Not in all that time since Al Gore invented the internet.  It took a conservative to think of it.  That’s what’s funny about it.
