I’m not sure how to deal with Rick Mercer. I can’t stop thinking of him as the official “state clown” (to fit with my usual lingo) since he works for the state-run media and is paid by the taxpayer for nearly every ha-ha he emits. Plus there was that asinine incomprehensible “one ton challenge” he was invloved with —a now-cancelled make-work program brought to you by your benevolent Liberal Party government (r.i.p.) and its servile deference to the environmentalist industry lobby (r.i.p.).
Of course Belinda Stronach could also be described as a state clown. But that’s another circus.
