At the national NDP convention in 2006, a resolution was presented to The Party (Resolution 1 B4 on international security) by the NDP riding association of Nanaimo-Cowichan (British Columbia). That’s the riding of the currently sitting MP Jean Crowder. The resolution suggested that Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan are “acting like terrorists, destroying communities, killing and maiming innocent people”.
I don’t know if she voted with the wishes of her constituents or not, or if their leader Jack Layton did. I think it’s a secret.
Just reminding you.
Thanks.
