Even as I speak, Hedy Fry is entering the Liberal Party leadership race.
This is a woman who thinks she should be Prime Minister of my country:
• She was the Liberal MP who rose in our House of Commons and said:
“We only have to look around the world today at Kosovo, at Macedonia, at Northern Ireland to know that people are still discriminated against in the world because of their race, their religion and their culture. We do not have to go too far. We can just go to British Columbia where crosses are being burned on lawns as we speak.”
The only thing on fire was of course Liberal Hedy Fry’s pants.
In a scrum yesterday, the following exchange took place :
UNIDENTIFIED MAN: “Were they burning crosses like Ku Klux Klan?”
HEDY FRY: “Yes.”
UNIDENTIFIED MAN: “Whose lawns?”
HEDY FRY: “I don’t know whose lawns exactly, but they were being burned on lawns of people who were visible minorities in that area.” (CBC’s The National)

The Liberals kept her.
• She is also the medical doctor who another web sites notes:
…while being a Liberal MP bragged about issuing a false drug prescription for someone, knowing it was going to someone else. She was reprimanded by the B.C. College of Physicians and Surgeons for this unethical conduct.

• They also kept her in 2001 just after terrorists engaged in a horrific act of war against our best friends, the United States:
As noted in the Wikipedia, she is the Liberal MP who,
…in 2001, shortly after September 11 … attended a women’s conference in Vancouver where she did not protest or leave during an anti-American speech by UBC professor Sunera Thobani.
In other words she’s just perfect for the job of Liberal Party leader.
