For example, brilliant columnist Salim Mansur.
In today’s column, the diplomatic Salim Mansur demonstrates no end of restraint in his on-point calling out of the NDP. Words like “utterly stupid”, “dhimmi”, “Islamist appeasers”, and, actually, “treason”, immediately spring to my mind with regard to the NDP. But not his. Instead he launches intellectual and factual rockets against the leftists, which will surely leave a mark.
I figure PTBC and our effect on liberalism and leftism in Canada is like this Canadian Air Force CF-18 fighter jet launching some of its firepower on liberals. The rockets are our facts and sound arguments and ideas. The vehicle—the CF-18 jet—is your humble PTBC site. I’m Cap’n Joel.
This Canadian Air Force CF-18 “Proud To Be Canadian” motif is sort of an adopted mascot of mine.
Meanwhile, the left has their rockets. For example, the taxpayer funded state-owned CBC and their columnists and reporters and anchors and documentaries and insanely biased news-reporting and their hilarious editorial decisions, and so on. And they have the rest of the media to varying degrees of similarity. And Hollywood. And their well-entrenched bureaucracy and departments and “crown corporations” and institutions, chock-o-block stuffed with their like-minded over the years; and the law courts, now amply stacked from top to bottom with liberals and leftist galore; and of course the church of liberalism’s houses of evangelism: the public schools and its clerics, the teachers and professors.
Still, they’re no match to our superior firepower, as exemplified in this mascot of theirs.
