I thought this was a funny post and picture—I found it on LGF blog.
For those who think French is the only other language, “Pollo” is Italian and means chicken. And also, Italy was among the brave coalition partners of the United States who went to Iraq to fight against terrorism and for freedom and democracy and security and peace and to rid those poor people of a murderous raping tyrannical dictator bent on killing and accumulating palaces and cash and weapons of mass destruction…. unlike Canada:
Whew. I thought I was harsh on defeated appeasement candidate John F. Kerry.
Then LGF reader nonic sent me the link to a USA Today slideshow—The day in pictures—containing a photo of a parade in the beautiful Italian seaside town of Viareggio (where I spent a memorable week of cycling last century), with a giant puppet of John Kerry sporting chicken feet, wings, and a cock’s comb, and a sign labeled “Pollo il Kerry.”
Now that’s harsh.
