More than a “fair share” — A new Fraser Institute study out today shows that the top 20% of income-earning families pay more than half of total taxes including personal income, sales, and property taxes. Compare that to the bottom 20% of income-earning families who earn 5.5% of total income, but pay just 2.3% of total taxes.
