Now that the former state-owned CBC employee and current Liberal-appointed leader of all the land, Michaëlle Jean, has granted the wish of one of her subjects, the lowly albeit unlike her, democratically elected by Canadians Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party, to prorogue Parliament, the opposition are taking turns at the mic blasting the whole thing. Jack Layton, of the you’ve got to be kidding party, who hardly anyone voted for, said it’s a “Parliamentary trick”. Again, a “Parliamentary trick”.
What they were doing, however, was “progressive”. Once again that’s “progressive”.
Asked why Layton wouldn’t wait for a budget before voting non-confidence, Layton responded; “Because we need a government that believes in what it is doing.” Please read that again. I had to.
Ya gotta believe, baby.
Maybe Harper and the Conservatives could engage some taxpayer-supported performance artists to help artistically convey all the emotion.
So anyway, adults will remain in charge a little while longer.
