A Martian looking down on earth would ask his fellow Martians, “how on earth (!) can these liberals stay in power after all this corruption and scandal?”
Well, the liberal media will inform us—that’s how.
Take this one paragraph in a NEWS article (not an editorial column) in the (liberal-left-mouthpiece) Globe and Mail (my emphasis):
The really huge battle they face is whether Canadians are preparing to get rid of the Liberals even if they like Mr. Martin. They may, as one Conservative recently said want “to drain the swamp” simply to get rid of all the other bad apples. Fighting this sentiment is tricky.
It’s not at all obvious, you see (and as any common Martian—even liberal ones—can see), that the Liberals must go. That’s the information, quoting nobody in particular, provided us by the “reporter”, Brian Laghi, in his non-editorial “news report”.
“The really huge battle”. “…even if they like Mr. Martin”. “Bad apples”. “Fighting this sentiment is tricky”.
Oh my.
