New thing: our official, as yet un-named, PhotoBLOG

imageI’ve already made several entries into our new, as yet un-named (taking suggestions) ProudToBeCanadian.ca “PhotoBLOG”.

What’s a PhotoBLOG?  Well I’m not even sure yet.  It will develop over time.  It’s something like a regular blog, I think, but of course it deals with photos and such.  It will be often be inspired by politics of course, in keeping with our theme at this Web site, and will naturally poke fun at liberals in the most respectful way that we as good tolerant moral conservatives deem necessary, uh, while still applying healthy doses of edgy humour.

But it will work something like this:  I upload a photo, let you know about it here, then you all can go and look and hopefully make comments on it (hopefully more than you all make here in this regular blog).  Sometimes it will be one photo, sometimes several (like today).  Sometimes it will be a “think-up a caption for this photo” assignment; sometimes a “what’s she thinking?” assignment; and sometimes just a “look at these photos and comment” thing (as today).

Sometimes the subject will be serious, sometimes funny—likely the latter more often than the former.

Registration is required in order ot make comments, but it’s the same registration as this blog—so if you’re already registered here, you’re good to go.

It’s a work in progress.

Here it goes:

My first PhotoBLOG(?) entry is a set of photos, actually, inspired by my quick reading of the sports section of various online sources, during which Jennifer Jones, Canadian curler, caught my eye.  And curling seems to be a Canadian thing.  And it’s not hockey, which is one of the best parts about it.

I don’t have the foggiest clue about curling.  I know it involves ice and rocks,  sliding and yelling, skips, and broom-like things.  I had no clue it involved such pleasant-looking humans.  This may be a secret just dying to get out there into the public consciousness.  I have not examined the appearance of the male humans—only the female.  I’ll leave the males to one of you females to bring to our attention.  (Offer void in Ontario where it’s prohibited to use “female” and “male” descriptors).
