New right-thinking columnist at PTBC—Ashley Herzog. She’s a journalism student! Support this!

imageWe have a new PTBC-style “stimulus package”, in the form of a new non-left-wing columnist.  Her name is Ashley Herzog.  She’s from Ohio, and is a student studying journalism.  And she’s not a left-wing zombie.  This is of course like manna from heaven.  A budding journalist who isn’t a leftist.  Liberals will be against that.

Like all the other PTBC columnists, Ashley will help fill the brains of our country with more of that PTBC-style, non-left-wing, right-thinking sense;  and help those who are sadly bereft of the right-thinking sense (you know who you are… or maybe not actually).  Liberals will be against that bit too.  But we don’t care.  It’s for the good of the country.

Her latest column, posted here today, is called “Socialism, College Style (Part II)”.  So right away, you know we’re going to love her.

Here’s a snippet:

It seems a lot of college professors didn’t like my column last week about academic socialism. Though conspicuously short on details, a University of Oregon professor declared the analogy between grade redistribution and wealth redistribution “really dumb.” (This should show you what sophisticated thinkers most of these professors are: they call everything they disagree with “dumb.”)

But I think their real problem is the fact that the YAF video contest made students rethink the Marxist claptrap they’ve been force-fed during their college years.

Take, for example, the “meritocracy myth,” the core theory of many sociology and political science courses. Students learn that America is not a land of opportunity and only children born with “privilege” can get ahead. (My recommended response to any professor who teaches this notion: “You’re obviously teaching at this school because of your privilege and not your expertise, so why should we listen to you?”)

But when it comes to their own classrooms, these professors absolutely believe in meritocracy….

I’ve also posted three previous Ashley Herzog columns for your enjoyment. Just click the yellow “Columns at PTBC” box along the right margin of these pages to scroll down to her name, or use the “Ashley Herzog Archives” link found in her columns.

Ashley has written a small book called Feminism vs. Women

Liberals will be against that too.

Later today, I’ll post Ann Coulter’s weekly column.

Oh my.  Feel for the liberals.

UPDATE:
Wall Street Journal picks up the link to this article.
