Remain calm. Stephen Harper, conservative Canadian and Conservative Prime Minister, drives his son to hockey for all his games. And he sits in the stands. With regular folk. In Canada. We did not make this up and nor did the CTV, for once, even if they did fail to provide this information before the election.
Yes some of the biggest news of the day here in conservative land is that there was an interesting little video segment on LIBERALVISION last night about Stephen Harper, hockey dad. Not “good”, per se, it’s just that it wasn’t negative. No really! And they didn’t get a Marxist or even a mildly leftist university professor nor any other member of the liberal-left elite to qualify anything the Conservative Prime Minister said! Seriously!
But the liberals will analyze it and find some cotton-pickin’ thing wrong with the story. Check those liberal blogs! For example, the Toronto Star will likely pick up on one line which proves the “hidden agenda” that the Conservatives want to officially join the Christian church with the state, constitutionally, using the Notwithstanding Clause. See if you can catch it. It happens at the 29-second mark. It’s where he says:
“I can watch my son [play hockey] and [I say to myself] geez I wish I could play like that!”
See? “geez”! Church and state! Church and state!
I guess those liberals were right! Canada WILL become an Iranian-style theocracy if a conservative gets into power!
