NBC’s Tom Brokaw explains Canada to Americans; mentions our better economy. Now hated by all media.

Last line on NBC’s pre-Vancouver Olympics video:

”… Well, and Canada has a stronger and more sound economy at this point as well —that’s a distinct difference between the two.” [chuckles all around — possibly nervous ones.]

—Tom Brokaw, as he and his NBC Olympics news anchor added a couple of additional differences between our two countries.

Actually, Tom Brokaw is already retired so maybe it’s too late for the media to despise him, but I’m sure he heard more than a few rage-filled rebukes and verbal finger-wags from the left hand of liberals as he blurted out that last line in this good NBC video.  But knowing Tom Brokaw and especially the Obama-kissing über-liberal NBC News division, I’m pretty sure he only unwittingly cast our Conservative Party-led government and country in a better economic light than his own liberal-leftist-led America with their man Barack Obama and their leftist Democratic Party progressives at its helm.  Maybe he didn’t even know Canada was led by the Conservative Party.

But that is what happened to John Stossel years ago:  he more-or-less mentioned that capitalism was good, one day on the set of the ABC News’ program 20/20 where he worked as a consumer reporter, ostensibly tasked with the job of espousing the opposite of his capitalism is good sentiment;  and was then summarily despised and attacked by nearly all his media cohorts for years.  He now has a smash hit weekly program on the new Fox Business Network and has written two best-selling books espousing the virtues of capitalism and freedom, and denouncing big nanny-state governments.  Or, arguably, the polar opposite of what ABC News had intended.  Truth sells!  (Or so I thought….  John Stossel’s weekly column was carried here at PTBC until we ran out of cash for it from our readers.  Hi there, truth-seekers).

Thanks Matt B!
