NBC the official hate-the-right network?

In my reviews of the coverage yesterday and into today, not even the horrible and laughable state media in Canada, the CBC, compares to the NBC network and its various divisions in their overt hate toward the outgoing President Bush and his Vice President Cheney.

Here’s the words of one of the media’s elite, Tom Brokaw, as he watched Vice President Dick Cheney being rolled out on his wheelchair during the inaugural ceremony yesterday, as he compares the outgoing VP to Dr. Strangelove—the infamous nutbar movie character in the novel and movie of the same name.

TOM BROKAW: “It’s unfortunate for Vice President Cheney to have had this accident obviously, because there will be those who don’t like him, who will be writing tomorrow that he had a Dr. Strangelove appearance as he appeared today in his wheelchair. It’s not something he’ll be happy about going out in a wheelchair because he prides himself on his robustness.”

And he does it using that typical liberal-left media propaganda-driving devise, in which he prefixes the words “there will be those who…”—as if to report that it’s not him but possibly others who think a certain way, but is actually exactly how he thinks and how he wants you to think.  It’s called plausible deniability.  Oh I didn’t say I thought that way, I reported that others might!  It helps him to avoid blow back when people like me accuse him of being the total ass that he is

For his NBC part, infamous Bush-hater Chris (“I felt a chill running up my leg!”) Matthews said that being in a wheelchair was a “metaphor for … low esteem”See the short YouTube video.

CHRIS MATTHEWS: “And I can tell you again that metaphor here of the Vice President in that wheelchair – it is a metaphor for the low esteem with which he’s held in this country. His numbers are pathetically low.”

Remember people:  they’re not “handicapped”—they’re “held in low esteem”!

In another instance on the MSNBC division, NBC’s Team Far-Left Bush-Hate ’n Obama Love,  Chris Matthews and Keith (“George Bush is the worst person in the world”) Olbermann, with new team player Rachael Maddow, reported as still-President George Bush was taking the stage, and several of “their crowd” booed the President and Mrs. Bush as well as Mrs. Cheney for good measure.  They feigned indignance.  At “their crowd”.

Yes moments before, Chris Matthews was waxing his leg — no sorry he was waxing poetic — OK he was prattling on about the glories of MSNBC and, upon viewing the massive crowd at Obama’s inauguration, explained to viewers that MSNBC is sort of the official channel of all the Barack Obama luvin.  Here’s exactly what he said moments before:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: “Well, it sure as hell helps to be on MSNBC today. Let’s talk straight here. This is the network that has opened its heart to change, to change and its possibilities. Let’s be honest about it. These people watch this network out here. … This is the network of the 21st century, MSNBC, and I think we’re open to it, and that’s why this crowd knows us. … We’re not crotchety about change and stuffy.”

NBC cameras did a split screen as the booing occurred and Team NBC feigned their indignance, to enable them to zoom-in on a pack of “their crowd” of African-American Bush-haters holding up playing cards for the NBC TV cameras—with a photo of George Bush on them—à la the playing cards with pictures of the savage 9/11 terrorists put out by the U.S. military to help capture terrorists.  Bush was on this group’s “2” card (in order to reflect the low esteem with which they regard President Bush I guess).  They booed and sang the “Nah nah nah Goodbye” song for the MSNBC cameras for the Bushes and Cheneys.  Class act.
