Name of new appointment to Tax Court of Canada…

We know that taxation in Canada is rip-off central.  Prime Minister Harper agrees.

Memo from the PMO this afternoon:

PRIME MINISTER HARPER ANNOUNCES TWO APPOINTMENTS TO THE TAX COURT OF CANADA

July 15, 2008
Ottawa, Ontario

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced the appointments of the Honourable Justice Gerald J. Rip as Chief Justice to the Tax Court of Canada and of the Honourable Justice Eugene P. Rossiter as Associate Chief Justice to the Tax Court of Canada.

Mr. Rip is replacing the Honourable Donald G.H. Bowman, the current Chief Justice, who is retiring. Mr. Rossiter replaces the Honourable Justice Gerald J. Rip who was the Associate Chief Justice.

These appointments are effective immediately.

And the laughter is also effective immediately. (And tax free!)
