Monitor the schools? Anti-liberal blasphemy!

I mean it’s not like they’re teaching Christian stuff in those Muslim schools!  Relax, liberals!

I’ve been harping about Canada’s ridiculous Liberal Party-created and forced on Canada multicultural policy for years.  There are plenty of folks who think exactly as I do and have written books on the matter, in case that helps make me appear less insane.

Who Gets In: What’s Wrong with Canada’s Immigration Program and How to Fix It by Daniel Stoffman, is one I read; and Selling illusions: The cult of multiculturalism in Canada by Neil Bissoondath, is another I’ve read.  Neither authors are “conservatives”, no.

But apparently the nation of Canada and perhaps the entire western world has to literally be at risk before liberals in the media perk up about the effects of failed and failing past liberal-left policy and take notice.  Even then they and their liberal friends deny any negatives and continue to defend failed, destructive policies.

Multiculturalism policy questioned

‘It hasn’t delivered what it intended to deliver,’ expert says

OTTAWA—Canada should consider monitoring the curriculum of private Muslim schools and ensuring imams are western-trained and not unilingual Arabic speaking, says a Canadian specialist in second-generation radicalism.

With a group of young Canadian citizens in jail accused of plotting terror attacks against their own country, University of Toronto immigration expert Randall Hansen is among critics questioning the worth of Canada’s 35-year-old multiculturalism policy—a policy that has to a great extent defined modern Canada.

“We have to be far more proactive in making sure the integration process is complete,” he says, “and make sure that people don’t develop values that are hostile [to Canada]. In practice that would mean things like taking a closer look at the curriculum of private Muslim schools, watching mosques and getting into the issue of whether imams should be bilingual and trained in Canada, instead of in countries like Pakistan.”

A good start, he says, would be a rethinking of the multiculturalism policy introduced in 1971 by the Liberal government of Pierre Trudeau.

“My guess is that the whole multiculturalism policy is not so much harmful as useless,” Hansen says. “It doesn’t make the situation worse but it hasn’t delivered what it intended to deliver—that people would feel more attached and loyal to Canada.”

[…]

It does so make the situation worse.  It has caused whole huge groups of people to be loyal not to Canada first and foremost but to their own culture first and foremost.  Having huge groups of residents or even landed immigrants not being loyal to Canada first and foremost is the worst thing that can happen to Canada or any country.  And yet liberals promote it and swear by it.  They encourage immigrants to come to our country and “mould it” into something more suitable to them.

Of course liberals are pro-abortion and pro-gay-marriage, so you can see how eager they are to build Canada from its traditional family-based foundational roots upward.  They’d sooner experiment like it’s a toy.  Mould it themselves. Canada isn’t good enough the way it was created.

This is just one of the ways in which you can tell that liberals hate Canada.
