In case Canada’s state-run CBC news ever tries to excuse itself for constantly using Huffington Post columnists and editors for their “regular U.S. political panel” (and make no mistake, they have actually said on air that their standard “expert” U.S. political team are two folks—one from the far-left Huffington Post, and the other connected to the vile, extreme left-wing Daily Kos blog, are their “regular U.S. political panel”), here’s a comment written July 1 2008 by the puffer-in-chief:
Arianna Huffington: …Looking at the Obama campaign not through the prism of my own progressive views and beliefs but through the prism of a cold-eyed campaign strategist who has no principles except winning, I can unequivocally say that by running to the middle in an attempt to attract undecided swing voters, the Obama campaign is making a very serious mistake. Fixating on—and pandering to—this fickle crowd is all about messaging tailored to avoid offending rather than to inspire and galvanize. And isn’t galvanizing the electorate to demand fundamental change the raison d’etre of the Obama campaign in the first place? Watering down that brand is the political equivalent of New Coke. Call it Obama Zero…
The center isn’t extreme left-wing enough for the socialist Huffington.
But at least she’s not even pretending to be balanced, fair, or moderate. (And she funds her own far-left propaganda mill.)
