One of my favorite columnists (who isn’t part of our team here at ProudToBeCanadian!), Licia Corbella of the Calgary Sun, gets the award for the best opening lines in a column commemorating the election:
Last night’s vote of non-confidence means that for the next two-month election campaign at least the Liberals can’t keep spending $44 million an hour in unbudgeted vote-buying.
That alone is a huge relief. The longer the federal Liberals are out of power, the better for this country on so many levels.
