Liberal Victoria Times-Colonist uses “chicken” in headline to describe Prime Minister of Canada

The liberals’ Victoria Times-Colonist, a Canwest paper (“canada.com”), saw fit to use this as a headline today:

NDP offers way for ‘chicken’ PM to attend EU summit

… to describe the story Jack Layton (of the pantywaist you’ve got to be kidding cowards’ pacifist party) breathlessly told them, which was about the Prime Minister deciding to stay at home and deal with Canadian issues in a made-in-Canada fashion rather than waste time with cheese-eating surrender-monkey Euroliberals talking about liberals being liberals and liberal topics of interest to terrorist-appeasing liberals in a liberal setting which would (hopefully!) embarrass a non-liberal who has proven to take a brave, firm, definitive stand on extremely hard issues and to do what’s right, such as, for example, fighting terrorism right at its doorstep even at his and his party’s own political peril if that’s what it takes.

Jack Layton is a “brave soldier”.  And the Times Colonist is “fair and balanced”.

Vote liberal.

Oh yes and… death to America.

EXTRA:
A PTBC reader emailed to complain, and this was their answer:

Thanks for your note. You may find this headline offensive, but your quarrel should be with Jack Layton, the NDP leader, than with with writer, or the editor who writes the headline. Layton accused the prime minister of being “chicken” and the fact that he said that makes his comments newsworthy. Normally opposition party leaders are wary of calling the prime minister names.

Thanks again for writing.

Allan

Luckily I’m bilingual and I understand liberal – ass dialect, so I can interpret that for you:

“It weren’t my fault!  That headline was forced on us by some kind o’ not me forces!”
