Tuesday I wrote about the liberals in the media fawning over Obama’s speech, but Chris Mathews (of “Hardball” fame on MSNBC—or what Rush Limbaugh calls PMSNBC) took the fawning cake, à la mode, with a great big cherry on top.
“Worthy of Abraham Lincoln,” and also claimed it bypassed Martin Luther King Jr.‘s “I Have A Dream” address as the “best speech ever given on race in this country.”
Mathews was the one who once remarked, after listening to Obama “My, I felt this thrill going up my leg.”
On the other side, the brilliant (and I’m not being sarcastic) Charles Krauthammer wins the cake for the best and most realistic analysis of the Obama speech. I captured it from Fox News Channel’s Special Report with Brit Hume show, on which Charles Krauthammer is a regular panelist, and put it on YouTube:
