Liberal Party patronage and cronyism not aborted.

According to the Conservative Party’s bulletin, Liberal Party cronyism is alive and well even if their sense of honesty and propriety isn’t.

Ongoing Liberal patronage

An Order-in-Council dated January 6th, 2005, revealed that Paul Martin who promised “to condemn to history the practice and the politics of cronyism”, has appointed defeated Liberal candidate Dave Haggard as the chair of a newly created Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship. Mr. Haggard is the latest Liberal to cash in on Paul Martin’s patronage, a list that includes former Liberal MPs like John Harvard, Allan Rock, Sophia Leung, Sarkis Assadourian and Yvon Charbonneau, and Martin-connected Jim Walsh.

… to say nothing of the appointments to the Supreme Court of Canada division of the Liberal Party, the state-run media (the CBC division of the Liberal Party), and by now, just about every single civil servant in the land.  When they replace the supreme leader of all the land, CBC reporter-cum-royalty Adrienne Clarkson, they will surely find another delicious Liberal—perhaps sticking to the huge pool of talent available in the state-run media and choosing someone from the state-run “Documentary Channel” (with the complicity of “Corus”), or from the world of the abortion industry to help celebrate their life-ending 100,000 babies-per-year success in Canadian nation-building, liberal-style.
