Liberal MP instructs obedient liberal media on Dion: “…there is no questioning his integrity”!

With that set of rules having been reinforced yet again, the media went on their way.  To check the Prime Minister’s garbage cans for “dirt”.

Liberals never learned their lessons—in fact they think Canadians need to learn a thing or two.  And the media is there to help them teach us a thing or two about who’s got integrity and who hasn’t got integrity.  Clue:  Conservatives are the corrupt scoundrels who can’t be trusted, and they’re chock full o’ damn Christians.  Liberals and anyone similarly or further left has got “integrity” and are “progressive” and are for abortion and wacky families of any description (as long as it’s their description), pot-smoking, prostitution, and losing the war in Iraq, so vote for them.  Hope that helps.

This little admonishment to the media (their Globe and Mail division) came yesterday as the Liberal Frenchman, Stephane (”the Green Guru”—™CTV News division of the liberal-left) Dion was in what, if he were a Conservative, would be an utterly impossible, irreversible situation in which he’d surely have to resign in abject embarrassment and cause the total abandonment and annihilation of the party he once led (—or failed to lead as they’d portray it).  And then we’d have to suffer through an eight-part “The Passionate Eye” series on the state-run media about how bad conservatives generally—especially those damn Christians—are, and how they obviously lack integrity and are in fact corrupt beyond any hope of repair, God Save the Queen.

But this is a Liberal.  Life is different for them.  They play by a different set of rules.  Standards are far, far lower perhaps to match their own standards of behavior or those which they wish they could live by if only they could get COTLER! and his Supremes to re-interpret the Ten Commandments.

Yesterday Dion said that he’d most assuredly be open to bringing back into the yummy Liberal fold of corruption, a man who during the Liberal Party adscam sponsorship scandal—the biggest political scandal in our great nation’s history—was delicately described in one report yesterday as follows:

During the Gomery inquiry into the sponsorship scandal, Cote testified that he received $120,000 in $100 bills from the executive director of the party’s Quebec wing. He distributed that money to 12 Liberal candidates in the 1997 federal election.

And that’s putting it nicely, as you’d expect the liberal media would do for fellow liberals.  Dion said he thought—well actually let me quote the article from my own blog entry“Dion noted that he thought that Cote “recognized his mistakes,”” and therefore Canadians should manifestly shill hout, take un pill, get a greep, and shut up.

Coincidentally, and not that this is in any other way comparable—but in the Vancouver Sun lately, it has also been pointed out that alleged mass rapist and murderer Robert Pickton seemed to “recognize his mistakes” as he “got sloppy”.  Thank God a normal set of standards will apply to Pickton.

But here’s how they cover Dion’s massive blunder—a blunder so unimaginably huge that no Conservative could ever, ever crawl out from under it:  On page five in a cute, tiny, almost hidden story or what might better be called a cute li’l story-ette in their “Nation in Brief” column, using a total of four sentences:

As you can see, the Prime Minister of Canada supporting the existence of Israel and the resulting Islamists’ yummy voter backlash against the Conservative Party is far more important.
