Liberal maintream media, academia, tries but fails in their anti-conservatism

I’ve always said it was amazing that so many millions of Canadians vote Conservative, despite all the liberal-left and often Marxist persuasion from the liberal-left mainstream media—particularly the far-left state-run CBC—and from academia where our children and youth are officially taught that being a socialist is de rigueur and being conservative is tantamount to insanity and is in fact un-Canadian.

But poll after poll and election after election proves Canadians to be resilient to the push for all-out Marxism and social left-wing extremism in Canada by our teachers and professors and entertainers and media and so many liberal-left politicians and bureaucrats.

Imagine if the media and academia (et al) were not liberal-leftist fundamentalists!  Imagine if we had a Canadian-style Fox News Channel, providing us with the same kind of FNC balanced news!  No wonder liberals become so unhinged whenever I bring up the fantastic Fox News Channel (now available in Canada—ask your cable or satellite provider).

This Canadian Press story (via National Post) must be really hard for the mainstream media to stomach.  And I love that first line which blandly admits “despite the political furor over Stephen Harper’s cabinet choices” even while failing to admit it was a bunch of liberal-left media BS and their effort to stir up a “furor” for the Conservatives.  (Hat tip Ross M.)

A new poll suggests Tory support is as strong as it was in the Jan. 23 election, despite the political furor over Stephen Harper’s cabinet choices.

The Decima poll, conducted March 9-13, suggests the Conservatives had the support of 37 per cent of decided voters, up slightly from the 36 per cent of the vote they won on election day. The Liberals had the support of 28 per cent, down from 30 per cent on election night.

The New Democrats were up to 19 per cent after taking 18 per cent of the January vote, and the Bloc Quebecois had 10 per cent, down from 11 per cent.

“In this week’s poll, the Conservatives have more support than the Liberals in every part of the country except for Ontario, where they trail by only three percentage points,” said Bruce Anderson, Decima’s chief executive officer.

[…] “While not enjoying an extraordinary honeymoon, the Conservatives are certainly not losing ground in their early weeks in office,” Anderson said.

He also said the Tories seem to be gaining ground among younger people and women “as anxiety about the social policy agenda may be dissipating.”

I also love that last line, as they inject their own made-up reason for young people gaining respect for the Conservative Party, and then try to teach us to fear it as usual.  They take it upon themselves to assume that young people had “anxiety” about the Conservatives’ “social policy agenda” and that it might have now “dissipated”.  It couldn’t POSSIBLY be that maybe young people are gaining a respect for conservative social policy now that they’ve thought about it a bit.  No no!
