Liberal Frenchman Stephane Dion’s non sequitur du jour

imageNon sequitur of the day, so far:

In one CTV.ca article headlined “Dion’s advisers want Ignatieff demoted: CTV”, we’re told by the CTV that their intrepid investigative journalists have uncovered some major, nearly “war”-like internal Liberal Party fighting amongst the Liberal Party anti-war pacifists over whether to dump their ridiculous leader, the Liberal Frenchman Stephane (“the Green Guru!”) Dion.

Some of Stephane Dion’s top advisers are planning to press the Liberal leader in the coming days to dump Michael Ignatieff as deputy leader, CTV News has learned.  … But some in the Dion camp believe that that Ignatieff, Dion’s former leadership rival, is privately undermining the Liberal leader with critical and disdainful remarks. … They argue it would send a strong message to party dissidents, by demoting the politician perceived as his greatest threat. … A demotion of Ignatieff could be justified as a move to allow the new MPs equal billing, but others say that it would escalate the party’s internal sniping into outright war. CTV’s chief political correspondent Craig Oliver said dumping Ignatieff might create more problems for Dion then it solves. “Moving Ignatieff down means cascading all the way down the caucus three powerful jobs that have to be found,” Oliver told CTV News. “This could create dissent in the caucus or even open warfare.” …

In another article at CTV.ca, they quote the Liberal Frenchman in an apparent delusion with regard to the resumption of Parliament today:

…Dion countered that Rae and the other two new MPs will showcase one of the big differences between himself and Harper.

“I have a much better team than him and I am much more collegial than him, much more as leader able to work with the others without (feeling)  threatened by them. The real strength of a leader is not to have a one-man show.’‘…

image Speaking of wars, the Liberal Party’s other secret weapon, “Bare Ass” Bob Rae, who also seeks the leadership, must have his tongue firmly in cheek (by which I don’t mean his own bare ass cheek as seen on national TV on the state-owned CBC media—I mean his facial cheek) hearing about all this in-fighting between Ignatieff and Dion —without seeing his own name mentioned.
