Latest SES poll shows Conservatives under Liberals (in every way)

The see-saw continues.  As an actual conservative, let me offer some thoughts to you pretend conservatives:  maybe Canadians are looking for a conservative party to vote for.  Something actually different from Liberal Party One, Two, or Three, and their increasingly liberal-leftist politically-correct groupthink policies.  A real change.  Something plainly conservative and right.  Not the status quo.  Something that isn’t necessarily designed to sound good to the self-anointed Canadian liberal elite establishment and their many divisions.  Different.  Better.

But I know what you’re thinking: don’t risk it.  Don’t rock the good ship “Canada Liberale Progressif”.  Just get elected.  It’s all about the “realpolitik”.  THEN we can smoke ‘em with our “actual” conservative ideals and policies and that agenda for a better Canada looking forward—the ones the left said we’d been “hiding” and which we’ve worked for ten years convincing Canadians we weren’t hiding!  Great idea!  Go team!

Apparently it’s not working however.

It would require resolute leadership skills and effort from actual conservative politicians and the actual civilian conservatives in Canada to lead the country right and convince folks that right is in fact right.  It means saying things that don’t sound popular or fun at first, and which will get you booted off the fancy cocktail circuit.  And damn.  That’s work.  And it’s really not all that important is it?  I mean things are going OK for now.  Besides, under liberal-leftist tutelage, we quit that whole “pioneering” and “self-reliance” thing years ago, in favor of government programs to look after us and our kids, and in favor of what the United Nations and France and Al Gore and the CBC thinks is right.  Better to just sit back, read polls, and do what’s safe to get elected and let ‘er slide … more and more left.  Change “Stand up for Canada!” to “Oh well.”

Vote liberal, or don’t vote.

SES Research proved to be dead-on accurate in the last election.
