I kept waiting for it because in concession speeches, they always thank everybody—it’s like one of those Hollywood starlet award shows where nearly everybody gets a reward or trinket of some kind—it means so much to them.
Then they thank absolutely everybody on earth as if they’d been lulled into thinking they just cured cancer and indeed they equate Queer Eye For The Straight Guy with curing cancer. I have to keep reminding myself that Sex And The City was show about horny liberal women.
They nearly always inject the word “journey” to describe the six weeks of work they just endured. Kerry thankfully didn’t use the word “journey”. I waited for it.
He thanked everyone but he didn’t thank the most important people to his campaign: the media. That’s not very grateful.
The media gave him 15 points for free. He ended up with 48 percent of the vote Rather than 33 percent. Bet the media are ticked….and I bet they’re over it already.
