We have satellite TV service (we got it so we could get Fox News Channel sooner than our cable company was prepared to offer it). So now we have the option of watching American Idol tonight live, 8:00 eastern time (two minutes from now, where it is 5:00 Pacific time), or at our regular three-hour delayed time of 8:00. I can’t decide if I should watch the live version to see my pick win, or the taped broadcast. (UPDATE: I’ve at least STARTED watching the live telecast.)
This is all just a way of saying that I picked Katherine McPhee way back in the very beginning of the show, and now she’s in the final two. I’ve mentioned that I picked last year’s winner—Carrie Underwood—too, right from the beginning. And I’ll KEEP telling you until you believe I’m awesome.
