Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai is a serious man.
Mr. Karzai will meet with Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper, of course, today. He will meet with the pretend-leader of the Liberal
Poopy
Party and will diplomatically entertain that lecture. He will meet civil-society groups, soldiers’ families and even the mayor of Montreal over the next two days.
But despite the ostensibly grown-up invitation from General Jack Layton of the you’ve got to be kidding party, Mr. Karzai will not bother to meet with Layton.
And that’s just proof that he’s a practical man who like me is rather too busy to waste time with jokers and those who aren’t on-side.
