It is Rice’s job to soften the growing international anger towards her government, and she did her best to do that Tuesday in her only public appearance by praising the common bond of shared values between the two North American neighbours.

That’s her “job”?  To soften the “growing international anger” toward her government?

I did not know that.

(A) I did not know that was her job.  Wait let me check.  Nope, that’s not her job.  What kind of a reporter is this?  Doesn’t even know what the job of the U.S. Secretary of state is?  Wow.

(B)  There’s “growing international anger” toward her government?  By what scientific measure?  Is there a meter someplace that I can look at?  Oh hang on—I see.  It’s the REPORTER’s growing anger, and he figures it must be everybody’s.  In the whole wide world!  It’s “international anger”!

See, liberals always think that everybody in the room agrees with everything they say.

(C)  I did not know it was a reporter’s job to write personal opinions in an otherwise factual “first draft” of history.
