I’m a visible minority. Got a problem with that?

More on the “visible minority” (that’s me!) story in today’s media (see here for yesterday’s post, in which, as if on cue, I was naturally called a racist and a white supremacist in the comments by a left-wing nutbar):

In Markham, Ont., and Richmond, B.C., 65% of residents are so-called visible minorities. In Brampton, the figure is 57%; in Burnaby, B.C., it’s 55%; and in Vancouver, 51%. Toronto is not far behind at 47%.

I also ran an interesting stat yesterday that the state-owned CBC.ca web site cited in their story, which stuck in my head:

In total, 32 per cent of Canadians called themselves Canadian, a decrease from the last census, when 39 per cent listed themselves as Canadian.

On that, I wonder what Liberal Frenchman Stephane Dion calls himself.
