If Hollywood likes it, it pretty much means it’s crap

Liberal, socialist, and even reliably Marxist Hollywood. One of the movies courting Oscars this year is the gay-themed movie “Milk” (with no fewer than eight nominations) image starring rabid Bush-hating and Hugo Chavez-supporting nutbar agitprop Marxist, Sean Penn.  Another big winner could be the movie about the Cuban Communist mass-murderer Che Guevara and Fidal Castro called Che.  (CBC Newsworld gave it 3 1/2 stars out of five, just today, in their “review” —wink!—in which they promoted it.

image  In Canada, notwithstanding the compulsion to call it “Hollywood North” here, it’s the same only it’s a “Canadian Value”—no actually it’s an outright demand on the part of mostly Quebecer but certainly nearly universally left-wing “artist” militants—that governments give them countless millions upon millions in taxpayer cash and tax breaks to advance their “Canadian Culture” as they see it (which is liberal, socialist, and even reliably Marxist, in addition to often being lewd, crude, and totally stupid).  At least with the actual Hollywood idiocy, we have a consumer choice as to what to support with our cash.

Their record both here and down south is almost spotless and laughable.  Recently, “The Academy” and its self-esteemed, self-anointed left-wing elites in the U.S. chose Al Gore’s “documentary” “film” about the “man-made global warming” for an Oscar.  At the Grammys they dug deep, and managed to chose Bill Clinton for an award in the “spoken word album for children” category for an audio version of a book.  They chose Michael Moore’s “documentary” “film” for an Oscar, against their very own definition of “documentary”.  Favorite daughter Hillary Clinton was nominated for an Oscar for “spoken word album” category for the the audio version of her crapulistic book about herself, losing only to the far-left pathological liar and current U.S. Democratic Party Senator wannabe Al Franken, for his book called “Lies And The Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair And Balanced Look At The Right,”  in which he spewed lies all day long.

And I could go on, starting with the nomination of nearly every movie that is anti-American, gay-promoting or themed, anti-Bush, anti-conservative values, single-mom-promoting, family-wrecking, socially destructive, and so on, even when all those movies totally tank at the box office, meaning America thinks they stink.

So today’s online poll question at CTV.ca is going right.  The correct answer is “No”.

Are you more likely to watch a film if it is nominated for the Oscars?
Yes – 29%
No – 71%
