I promise you. You have to believe me. I actually typed the name Geoff Norquay into this space—this medium—the one you’re reading right now—and put these words after it: “must quit”. Just last week. Then changed my mind because I didn’t want to sound mean and trivial. No really.
…proving once again that I should rely on my first instincts and post what I’m thinking, thereby every-so-often looking like some kind of awesome prescient know-it-all when things later come to pass as predicted, the odd time. What’s that you say? You already think of me that way? Well thanks.
Well anyway, when I typed his name out—it was just last week, honest—I was going to explain that as the chief of Stephen Harper’s communications team, he’s doing about as bad a job as anyone I’ve ever known in a communications job. And he must go.
The Canadian Press has learned that communications director Geoff Norquay is resigning from the post less than a year into the job.
Another communications genius left from his post as well. That makes a handful of ‘em all in all. If there are any left, they should go too.
This recent Conservative Party morass of popular hideousness is not all their fault, no, but at least half their fault I would think.
