Huffington Post caught in faked smear against Fox News Channel & conservative radio host John Gibson

And here’s ANOTHER thing you won’t find on the CBC.

Rachel Sklar - Huffington Post  One of the CBC’s favorite sources for news, the far-left (and well-known to be unapologetically far-left) Huffington Post has been caught in an egregious, deceptive smear and a tangle of lies, meant to cast aspersions on both Fox News Channel, which the left hates with a passion comparable only to the hatred they have for George Bush and Ann Coulter and female pro-life candidates for office and black conservatives; and conservative talk radio host John Gibson, a Fox News Channel alum. (John Gibson’s radio show is available on Fox News radio—it’s a great show).

HuffPo presented a doctored video clip of a Fox News Channel segment taken shortly after news of that insane chimpanzee broke, and then a different chimp actually escaped from a zoo;  and after Obama’s newly appointed Attorney General Eric Holder (black man) made a speech in which he classlessly posited the notion that regarding race, America is “a nation of cowards”—something about which Gibson actually agreed in large part.

The whole thing was caught by the blog Johnny Dollar’s Place.  They reiterate what Huffington Post wrote in their original article about the video (which they don’t acknowledge is faked, at this point):

At the end of a long and pointless conversation between two Fox News reporters covering a zoo escape, John Gibson compared Attorney General Eric Holder to a monkey…. At 2:48, they toss to John Gibson who complains that he can’t get away with saying “bright blue scrotum” on the radio then follows that up by saying, “We were talking about Eric Holder today on the radio and his bright blue scrotum.”

The problem is that this didn’t happen.  The clip was doctored by “someone”.

HuffPo was forced to apologize today, which they only barely did, but of course by now, the original story—without correction or apology—has spread all over the other usual far-left sources (sources which CBC also uses, like Daily Kos, and others).

Watch these clips in order —or just watch #3 if you are short on time.

Rachel Sklar - Huffington Post I frequently point out how the CBC Newsworld channel constantly uses Huffington Post bloggers and employees as sources for “expert” opinion and commentary and “analysis” about politics in the U.S., including their so-called “usual team” of American politics experts Rachel Sklar (sitting at right in the screen shot taken just earlier this month), who is an editor of Huffington Post, who always appears with her cohort Jeffrey Feldman (at left), who writes as a blogger for the further left-wing smear site, Daily Kos

Here’s another instance in which the CBC appealed to the HuffPo expert for her honest analysis.  I’ve documented this dozens of times.

At President Barack Obama’s first presidential news conference, he was ridiculed by many in the serious media and citizenry about the fact that they allowed a “reporter” from the opinion blog Huffington Post to attend the conference as if he was just another newspaper or TV reporter, and then even called on that left-wing partisan to ask what shockingly turned out to be a hideously partisan smear-job of a question intending to smear conservatives.  He asked where the President stood on a proposal to prosecute members of the Bush administration.
