Harper says things; Liberals put on their “outraged” hats; two, three

Cha cha cha.

Prime Minister Harper reminded Canadians, last night, about what Canadian values actually are.  Thank God for that Clean Air Act being tabled today or this outrage is all we’d hear about.

What he said will trouble many Canadians, because of the confusion established on purpose between actual Canadian values and CBC values, the liberal-left political party’s ever-changing values, Marxist values put forth by union leaders, teachers, and professors, and the miscellaneous secular progressives’ values taught in schools and through the liberals’ media over the decades, all in their effort to change Canada to suit their world view (Canada not being to their liking the way it was established and remains still).

PM Harper affirms Israel support

TORONTO (CP) – No amount of political pressure will force the Canadian government into taking a neutral stance regarding Israel’s fight against terrorism, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Wednesday in promising Canada’s “steadfast support, encouragement and friendship” to the Jewish state.

In his first speech to the Jewish community since being elected, Harper told attendees at a B’nai Brith dinner event that he believes Israel has the right to defend its citizens against terrorists and can always count on Canada’s backing.

“When it comes to dealing with a war between Israel and a terrorist organization, this country and this government cannot and will never be neutral,” Harper said to a standing ovation.

“Those who seek to destroy the Jews, who seek to destroy Israel, will … ultimately seek to destroy us all. It is why Canada’s new government has reacted with speed and spoken with clarity on the recent events in the Middle East.”

Here’s the rub for the liberal-leftists, also known as the truth:

“We are restoring Canada to its traditional and true role: principled leadership in world affairs,” he said.

“Our approach to the Middle East, as elsewhere, has been guided by our values: freedom, democracy, human rights, the rule of law, and the uncompromising opposition to terrorism.”

“These, my friends, are not new values.”

No they’re Canadian values.  Liberals are against them, or are at best ambiguous about them, is all.
