… and he finally gave me a quote of the week so I can unload our prestigious ProudToBeCanadian.ca Quote Of The Week Award on him.
First, he said to a huge crowd of 1,000 Canadians, that the Conservatives espouse the values of hard work, honesty, community, decency “and especially family and freedom. These are the real Canadian values and they are, every one of them, Conservative values.”
Liberals in the BBQ crowd looked dumbfounded, and they searched high and low for the words “socialism”, “CBC”, “state-run everything”, “blame society”, “abortions are a ‘moderate’ procedure”, and “if it feels good, do it”, but couldn’t find them liberal words anywhere. They lifted their hamburger buns but no, nothing in there; nothing in their hot dogs, and nothing in the potato salad. No, it seemed “conservative” words leaked out all over the picnic area and yet it remained clean, fun, happy, and bright.
He also reiterated what I blogged about two days ago, about the fact that the Conservative Party is fund-raising twice as much money as the other parties—combined. He said the Tories are doing well financially, raising $2 for every $1 for the Liberals.
But the Award is for this comment (actually a two-fer), referring to the Liberals:
“Everything they do or claim to have done is phoney”
…and he said Liberal values are not Canadian values:
“They have been paying off their friends
and buying off their rivals.”
