Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper called an election today for October 19, 2009. That’s very generous of him because it will give the liberal-left time to elect a new leader, figure out a replacement hook for “hidden agenda” from their Liberal-friendly media companies, and once again try to convince Canadians to vote them back into office so they can continue all the “progressive”.
The Harper Conservative government has now officially introduced legislation in Parliament calling for fixed election dates in our country, in an effort to transform Canada into a “democratic” country.
Liberals are against that.
OTTAWA (CP) – The federal government introduced legislation today to set fixed election dates.
Under the bill, general elections would be held on the third Monday in October in the fourth calendar year after the last voting day.
[…] Under the proposed system, the next federal election would be held Oct. 19, 2009.
Of course the liberal media reporter was quick to point out that an election could come earlier if it loses a confidence vote in parliament.
