The “progressive” or left-wing forces are all joining in to defeat the Conservatives, as usual. Now it’s the Greens. PURE COINCIDENCE UPDATE ALERT: Green leader Elizabeth May may have been secretly promised a seat in the UNELECTED SENATE division of Canada’s liberal-left.
I think we can assume the Marijuana Party is also on board. Here’s among the latest sentiments from the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist Leninist), who think they are the epitome of “progressive” and who I’m sure don’t want to be left out of the “progressive” take-over:
…The Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) resolutely opposes the “Economic and Fiscal Statement” delivered Thursday by the Conservative party in power. The Economic and Fiscal Statement underscores the failure of monopoly capitalism to serve the needs of the people. The statement admits that Canada is facing a “time of unprecedented deterioration in economic and financial systems around the world” but rather than proposing to renew the socialized economy it contains measure after measure to pay the rich, weaken the socialized economy and attack the working class and nation-building. …
They cite a need for:
[N]ecessity for democratic renewal and the need to empower the working class and its allies to gain control of the direction of the economy and of the decision-making process.
In almost every other way, they sound exactly like the rest of the “progressive” left:
The attacks on public sector workers and other anti-social measures must not pass! All out to support Canada Post workers on strike! Defeat the right wing agenda! It’s time for an alternative! Unite to build committees for democratic renewal!
This is an election poster the regular Communist Party of Canada has on their web site, which I’m sure the whole Liberal-Left cabal—as a “united force” of “progressives”—could all agree to use, since it’s exactly spot-on in agreement with their sentiments.
