Globe and Mail suddenly finds out we really are “at war”.

And it turns out the article’s NOT about his ongoing war with regular Americans like normal capitalists, business owners, and pro-lifers, and tea party attendees, it’s actually about his finally evolving intellectually and accepting that fact that we are at war against Islamofascist jihadists also known as terrorists.  Which is funny because it only took the newbie U.S. President [ many years ] to finally come around to George Bush’s way of thinking.

In fact the accompanying Globe and Mail front-page verbiage even admits that much:

”…Obama … abandons efforts to distance himself from Bush with fighting words ‘WE ARE AT WAR’…”

Which is funny because it was that Christmas Day (attempted) bomber who sparked this revelation from Mr. Obama, whose administration ordered the civilian-style arrest of the attempted bomber warrior, and who then read him his Miranda Rights, and then gave him a taxpayer-paid civilian lawyer, and who charged him in regular civilian court no different than a shoplifter, instead of treating him like military prisoner of war and sending him to Guantanamo where he belongs.  Even while the Commander-in-Chief’s drone aircraft routinely bomb and kill the “misunderstoods” in Pakistan, without first reading them their Miranda Rights and lawyering them up, etc.

I’m still waiting to see how apoplectic the CBC reporters, editors, producers, self-anointed know-it-alls, and anchors get about this turnabout.  And how they’ll deal with it.  Will they still insist on calling it “George Bush’s so-called war on terror” (adding, “…which President Obama ‘inherited’…”), or will they now call it “Barack Obama’s so-called war on terror” (adding “… which is well worth fightin’ fer, eh!…”)?
