Like a cheap life insurance salesman, extreme liberal-left fringe politician and socialist NDP leader Jack Layton has sent out a pre-recorded phone message using automatic dialers to other known socialists in the Ottawa region, urging them and all their other unemployed friends to protest and demonstrate against President Bush’s visit today. He even gives addresses and times to meet in order to cause the most vociferous possible demonstration against our neighbor’s democratically-elected leader.
New Democratic leader Jack Layton has sent out pre-recorded phone messages encouraging party members to protest against George W. Bush at demonstrations tonight, just hours before he meets with the U.S. president at a state dinner
Layton is heard in voice messages sent Friday to about 2,000 NDP members in the Ottawa area – exhorting them to attend anti-Bush demonstrations, including a candlelight vigil in opposition to the ballistic-missile defence system.
In the message, he gives locations and times for the anti-Bush rallies and asks party members to “join me and the NDP caucus to show Canadians we are leading the fight against Star Wars.”
Ahh. I remember when I was a naive and uneducated and young. I too was somewhat swayed by the likes of used-car salesmen. Thankfully I never fell for their snake oil in the end however (oh and I got a job), unlike the sanctimonious self-righteous thousands of liberal-lefties and other socialists you will see today. (I admit to once buying a whole-life insurance policy while in university though, suckered by a pal who was selling).
Oh and then later, Layton will take advantage of the President’s visit, provided the President isn’t deterred by the shabby protests Layton’s organizing against him, to tell Bush off on subjects Layton knows entirely nothing about. Things like climate change, the softwood-lumber dispute and missile defence. I imagine he’ll smoke a big doobie prior to the big Bush grilling.
Liberals’ manifest demonstration today will yet again be their anti-Americanism, and of course just how bereft of values and philosophy they really are.
